The Siberia Tochka ru Center is successfully operating at the Siberian Federal University, the News Laboratory reports. The large-scale project aimed at popularizing the study of the Russian language abroad has been launched online. It brought together teachers of Russian as a foreign language, linguists, and literary scholars.

The number of listeners reached almost 1,500 people. They were joined by lovers of Russian culture and the Russian language from different countries. Participants could choose a course depending on their level of Russian language proficiency. The most popular were classes for beginners called “Your Siberian Holidays”. There were also “Pro-Reading” courses dedicated to Russian literature.

In addition to the main program, the listeners were able to attend master classes on Siberian cuisine and Russian toy making, a music lesson, the “I walk across Russia” and “Philological football” games.

The course was attended not only by students from different countries, but also by foreign teachers of the Russian language, who appreciated the high level of organization of the curriculum, interactivity and different forms of work. For them, such a course has become not only a revision of the material, but also an advanced training.
