Residents of Vietnam get acquainted with Russian military films

Russian Cinema Week has begun in the capital of Vietnam, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports. Its program included five works by Russian directors on a military theme, they were provided by the Mosfilm film concern. The audience is going to watch both classics and modern films - "They Fought for the Motherland", "Come and See", "The Road to Berlin", "Star" and "White Tiger".

The film festival is timed to celebrate the anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In addition, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vietnam.

All the participants in the opening ceremony of the festival noted that the strong ties that had linked the two countries for many years were traditionally friendly. Dialogue in the field of politics, cooperation in the economic, defense, educational and cultural spheres are steadily developing.

Russian Cinema Week has become another opportunity for Vietnamese residents to learn more about Russian culture, to understand the importance of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
