Online school for young journalists has started its work

27.10.2020

The online school for young journalists is initiated by the Russkiy Mir Foundation and with the support of the Komsomolskaya Pravda publishing house. This is a cycle of master classes, discussions, meetings with leading Russian journalists, a lot of useful practical information for young Russian-speaking journalists, regardless of the country of residence.

Over the course of three days, leading experts in the media industry will share the secrets of mastery, talk about the use of new technologies, teach how to create a special information project and even how to apply for a grant. Within the framework of the school, which runs from October 27 to October 29, the results of the 4th International Competition for Young Journalists organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation will also be announced.

The opening of the school was attended by the executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Vladimir Kochin and the deputy general director of the Komsomolskaya Pravda publishing house Evgeny Sazonov.

As Evgeny Sazonov noted, the Komsomolskaya Pravda holding, which is not only a well-known newspaper, but also a radio station, a television channel and a publishing house of the same name, serves a very small team of journalists. According to him, it was Komsomolskaya Pravda that began to promote a special type of journalist - a universal journalist who can not only write a text, but also speak on the radio, maintain a channel in social networks, and, if necessary, make a video or even a film. It is this kind of universal journalism that will be taught to the participants of the online school.

The online school for young journalists is held within the framework of the 14th Assembly of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. This is an annual meeting of Russian-speaking compatriots organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The executive director of the foundation, Vladimir Kochin, who greeted the participants of the online school, noted that the main task of the Russkiy Mir Foundation was to promote and support Russian language learning programs abroad. He also emphasized the great unifying importance of the Russian language for Russia itself, a multinational and multi-confessional state.

The executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation invited the students of the young journalist's online school to join the XIV Russian World Assembly in order to see for themselves what it is and what worries the representatives of the Russian World in different countries today. Vladimir Kochin recalled that the Assembly is being held online for the first time. “On the one hand, this is a limitation,” he shared, “there will be no warm, personal, backstage communication. On the other hand, we could never invite everyone, but today there is no such problem - more than two and a half thousand people from 117 countries of the world have already registered for participation in the discussions of the Assembly, we have received hundreds of questions for discussion platforms. "

All master classes will be broadcast live on YouTube. Participants can ask questions directly to each of the speakers at the time of the event.

Master classes are conducted by Margarita Golovina, editorial director of the tass.ru website (Russia); Dmitry Mikhaylin, General Director of ANO Russian Reporters (Russia); Maria Rovinskaya, member of the Spelling Commission of the Russian Academy of Sciences, lecturer at the Higher School of Economics (Russia); Vera Medvedeva, President of the European Dialogue Association (France); Alexander Kots, special correspondent of the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" publishing house (Russia); Alla Shelyapina, Deputy Chairman of the Interregional Public Organization Women's League of Journalists and Bloggers (Russia); Ilya Lochkanov, media manager, SMM specialist of the Internet edition of the Komsomolskaya Pravda publishing house (Russia); Galli Monastyreva, Chairperson of the Commission for the Development of Interregional Relations and Ethnic Tourism of the Council for Nationalities Affairs under the Government of Moscow, Dina Karpitskaya, reporter for the Komsomolskaya Pravda publishing house (Russia); Yuri Eremenko, editor-in-chief of the Russkoe Pole website, co-founder of the Media Alliance of Russian Communities (MARC) (Germany).
