Lecture on Russian Exodus held in France

A lecture in French about the Russian Exodus, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the mass evacuation of Russians during the Civil War, will become one of the main events of the traditional Russian Autumn festival, which will be held in the French commune of Divonne-les-Bains from October 22 to 25. The organizer is the Around Russia Association, admission to the event is free, Maxime & Co writes.

The centenary of the Russian Exodus has become the main theme of this year's festival. On Friday, October 23, guests of the holiday will be shown a documentary about this event, which became a tragedy for tens of thousands of Russians. On Saturday, October 24, historian Vladimir Golovanov will deliver a lecture on the Russian Exodus in French.

Also on this day there will be a lecture on the contribution of Russian writers to the development of French literature, concerts of the Eternal Melodies ensemble and the Let's Sing Together choir. In addition, within the framework of the Russian Autumn, guests will be able to sell Russian books, souvenirs, paintings by Russian artists, and children's handicrafts. Everyone will be able to taste pies and other dishes of Russian cuisine.

The funds earned at the charity fair will be used to help children in need in Russia.
