An exhibition of works by artist Pavel Kishilov has opened in the Russian bookstore Les Editeurs Reunis. Kishilov's black-and-white prints became illustrations for Boris Pasternak's collection Poems by Yuri Zhivago, which will be released in November in a new French translation, the Russian Eyewitness reports.

Les Editeurs Reunis is a place of attraction for Russian compatriots living in Paris and French people interested in Russian culture. For several years, the Alexander Solzhenitsyn Cultural Center has been operating on the second floor of the store.

Pavel Kishilov's exposition was opened thanks to the support of two organizations of Russian compatriots; the exhibition will run until mid-November. Boris Pasternak's collection Poems by Yuri Zhivago, which is part of the Doctor Zhivago novel, will contain texts in Russian and French, translated by Helen Peras.

This year the 130th anniversary of Boris Pasternak is celebrated in Russia and abroad. Events in memory of the Russian poet were held among schoolchildren in Turkey, Latvia and other countries.
