Russian film becomes leader of online distribution in France

The Russian film Blackout, which tells about a planetary cataclysm, achieved record figures in online distribution in France and rose to the top of Google Play in the country. The film also entered the top 3 of the leading online platform in France. The film is planned to be broadcast on the famous French TV channel Canal + in autumn, TASS reports.
 
The film, directed by Yegor Baranov, features famous Russian actors Pyotr Fyodorov and Alexey Chadov. The film tells about people who survived a catastrophe of a planetary scale and are trying to understand the causes of mass death.

The Blackout has been successful on the film markets, having managed to attract the attention of distributors from all over the world. It is reported that the rights to display the film were acquired in 90 countries, including China, the United States, Great Britain, Australia and others.

The European premiere of The Blackout took place in November last year at the Russian Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
