An exhibition about the fight against the coronavirus infection pandemic in Russia opened in New York, it is located in the building of the UN central headquarters. Doctors and volunteers became its main heroes, RIA Novosti reports. The exposition was organized by the Russian permanent mission of our country to the international organization.

According to the press secretary of the permanent mission of the Russian Federation Fyodor Strzhizhovsky, the exhibition was included in the Please breathe!large-scale project. The most interesting and vivid pictures of Russian photographers taken in recent times were celected for it. They depict the feat of physicians saving the lives of patients, as well as the work of volunteers who provide assistance to everyone who needs it.

In addition, a lot of space is devoted to photographic materials and information about the world's first vaccine against coronavirus, which was developed by Russian specialists.

Although this year, full-time participation in the opening of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly is planned only for the heads of the permanent missions of the participating countries, all of them will be able to appreciate the achievements of Russian medicine and the selfless work of healthcare professionals, the Russian permanent mission stated. The session starts on Monday, September 21.
