The Russia - Turkey: 100 Years of Friendship photo contest was announced by the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Turkey together with the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in Turkey in honor of the centenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Turkey reports on Facebook.

Russia and Turkey trace the history of diplomatic relations with the exchange of letters between the first President of the Republic of Turkey Kemal Ataturk and the People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs of Soviet Russia Georgy Chicherin. Ataturk was the first to send a message with a proposal "to establish permanent relations and lay a solid foundation of friendship that will unite the Turkish and Russian peoples."

A photo illustrating the friendship between Russia and Turkey must be submitted by October 25. Applicants must fill out a form and send it to the organizers at info@tur.rs.gov (marked “Photo contest”). The winners of the competition will be announced on November 4 and will be awarded prizes. The photographs will be published on the website of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Turkey.
