Children from different countries joined Journey to Land of Russian Language Festival

10.08.2020

The Journey to the Land of the Russian Language International Festival ends on Monday, August 10. Young Russian compatriots from all over the world aged 3 to 17 joined the cultural event, which started back in July. The event was held online. The organizer is the Institute of International Education of the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University.

My first Russian word holiday was held for children in the younger age group - from 3 to 6 years old. Participants were offered to read a poem in Russian or sing a song and send the recording to the organizers.

Older kids took part in the Russian Word reading competition. Videos with poetry reading were sent to the organizers as part of the qualifying round. Participants of the second round read the poems proposed by the jury.

All interested persons could take part in the Writing in Russian essay competition. To do this, it was necessary to send an essay (200-250 words) on one of the topics: "What do I know about Russia", "Why I love the Russian language", "My favorite Russian writer", "My favorite Russian fairy tale", “My favorite Russian cartoon”, “About my country in Russian” before August 1.

The Russian Fairy Tale theater studio also worked during the festival. Young actors were helped to get used to the role of professional performers.
