Online lesson on financial literacy held in Luxembourg for Russian-speaking children

The online financial literacy lesson, organized by the Luxembourg-based East-West United Bank, brought together 60 children aged 8 to 13 years old. The lesson was conducted in Russian, children of Russian compatriots took part in it, according to the Russian Luxembourg website.

For the second year in a row, East-West United Bank has been organizing financial literacy classes for Russian-speaking children living in Luxembourg. Previously, the lessons were held offline. Classes were conducted in Russian.

The children learned about what stocks and bonds are, why they are needed, how investors and businessmen make money, and how to save money while going to a store and not become a victim of scams. Complex economic topics were explained using animated films and game tests.

The organizers said that the children showed great interest in the topics of the lessons, actively shared their dreams and plans related to making money and profitable spending, as well as their future professions.
