Nabokov readings open on Tuesday, June 30, the website of the Year of Literature reports. The organizer of the traditional international scientific forum dedicated to Vladimir Nabokov is the Institute of Russian Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference will run until July 4.

The coronavirus pandemic has made changes to the program. Due to restrictions aimed at counteracting the spread of infection, it was decided to hold the forum online. The broadcast is planned on the YouTube channel of the Pushkin House and on the conference website.

In addition to the scientific program, the organizers prepared events for a wide audience this year. It will be possible to join the lecture of philologist, art researcher  Alexander Dolinin, send questions for interviews to biographer Brian Boyd, see presentations of sites and publications that tell about the Nabokov's life and work. Guests are invited to take part in an excursion to the Rozhdestveno estate museum, listen to Yury Saprykin, Lyudmila Ulitskaya, Tatyana Tolstoya, Ekaterina Shulman, Dmitry Bykov and others reading the Spring in Fialta, as well as “attend” the premiere of the film about Nabokov with his relatives.

Scientists from France, the USA, Estonia, and Israel are among the speakers.
