Russian robot Promobot to advise passengers at Istambul airport

Promobot, a robot developed by a resident of the Skolkovo Fund of the same name and assembled in Perm, has become an "employee" of the airport in Istanbul. The robot will advise passengers in Russian, English, Turkish and other languages, helping them find the necessary terminals and scanning tickets. It can also call a taxi, RIA Novosti reports.

In addition, Promobot can talk about the rules of conduct and safety. The robot is equipped with obstacle sensors, thanks to which it moves freely in rooms filled with people.

Oleg Kivokurtsev, Promobot Development Director, announced that airportst in the USA, Chile and other countries also purchased the robot. Promobot also works at the Moscow Vnukovo Airport. Kivokurtsev noted that Russian developers are among the leaders in the field of service robotics.

Earlier, Promobot became a police officer in Abu Dhabi, it helps to patrol the city. Also, robots of this type work in museums, multifunctional centers, banks, and other institutions.
