The epidemic of coronavirus infection will not prevent the Russian-Chinese cross-years of scientific and technical cooperation, the Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui is sure. According to him, the events will take place at the appointed time: in 2020 and 2021, according to RIA Novosti.

The diplomat called the epidemic "an unprecedented challenge." It had a noticeable impact on the original plans, and they had to be slightly adjusted. Nevertheless, the cross years will certainly take place.

Preparatory work is ongoing at full speed. Moscow and Beijing have formed organizing committees, each of them is headed by a deputy prime minister. The parties also discussed the list of activities that they want to include in the program of the years.

Unfortunately, quarantine restrictions forced to postpone the activities scheduled for early 2020, including the opening ceremony.

According to Zhang Hanhui, the parties are currently discussing various issues of the online format and are trying to minimize the impact of the epidemic on events.
