In more than 170 countries around the world, activists are preparing to hold the Immortal Regiment campaign online. The motto of the online procession is “Our Victory is My History,” initiated by the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Abroad, the Izvestia newspaper reports.

According to Senator Andrei Klimov, it is very important that Russian compatriots have become the authors of the idea. He is convinced that the key event of the year should be the anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, and not the pandemic of coronavirus infection. Millions of people from all over the world want to pay tribute to those who have defended our lives and freedom. At the same time, they want to demonstrate confidence that “we can defeat the coronavirus, just as we defeated the fascist infection in our time,” the politician said.

“Immortal regiment - without borders!” will be held not only in Russian, memorable words will sound in the languages of the countries where the procession will take place. Everyone who wants to join the action is offered to use the hashtags #Победа75, #нашапобеда, #бессмертныйполк, #бессмертныйполкбезграниц, #мояистория, #victory75, #соотечественники, #победунеотнять, #russiancompatriots.

Russkiy Mir reported that compatriots in the Netherlands, Canada and other countries had launched their own project to hold the Immortal Regiment procession online.
