Russia limits flights with Europe

The Russian authorities decided to temporarily limit passenger flights to all EU countries, TASS reports.

These measures come into force in two days, from Monday, March 16. They are associated with an outbreak of coronavirus infection. In addition, flights with Switzerland and Norway are limited, except for flights to Geneva and Oslo.

There are flights from Moscow to the capital of a european country and back. All passengers will pass through terminal F at the capital's Sheremetyevo Airport. Charter flights will be organized so that Russian and foreign citizens are able to return home.

Restrictions do not yet apply only to the UK.

Russkiy Mir reported that previously flights had been limited to China, South Korea, and Iran. Three days ago, flights to France, Italy, Germany, Spain and vice versa were reduced. 

Since March 13, Italian citizens have been banned from obtaining Russian visas. The number of people infected with the coronavirus is increasing. The World Health Organization declated the coronavirus a pandemic.
