Indian cosmonauts, who are currently undergoing a training program at the Russian Cosmonaut Training Center, has started to study the Russian language. According to Pavel Vlasov, who heads the center, the program is the same for everyone. He noted that the language training of Indian specialists is taking place in such a volume that the cosmonauts can confidently work with the equipment of the ship, without doubting the correct understanding of terms and phrases, RT reports.

Russkiy Mir reported that four Indian space candidates began training at the Cosmonaut Training Center. As part of the training, the Indians will get acquainted with space technology and learn to work in zero gravity. The Russian and Indian parties signed an agreement on the preparation of Indian astronauts for a space flight last summer.

The annual training program includes biomedical training, physical fitness and a lecture course. Under the contract, Russian specialists will help the Indians in the selection of pilots and a medical examination.
