Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that the Munich conference did not become a platform for developing concrete solutions. The forum participants discussed the relationship between the Western countries, Moscow and Beijing, as well as between the united Europe and the United States. Another important issue was the situation in Libya.

As before, there were some traditional attacks on Russia and China. They were accused of organizing cyber-attacks, disinformation campaigns, putting pressure on neighboring countries and pursuing an aggressive policy. The speakers suggested developing a dialogue, but at the same time not to forget about deterrence measures.

In particular, the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, once again called for a dialogue with Russia on security issues. He is confident that, although Russia has its own agenda, there are many questions where cooperation will be useful.

About eight hundred participants gathered in Munich, including politicians, statesmen, entrepreneurs and scientists, human rights activists from around the world. The Russian delegation was led by Sergei Lavrov.

In turn, according to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, the forum participants did not have a single agenda. Everyone stood for their personal beliefs, not even concerned about their own country.

There was not even a hint of finding a single solid agenda, Maria Zakharova said. The world community should ask itself how seriously it approaches existing problems.
