Russian Railways recognized as safest in the world

Russian railways are recognized as the best in ensuring safety among all other railways in the world, RIA Novosti reports. According to Oleg Belozerov, the head of Russian Railways, the company, which took second place, fell behind by more than twenty percent. He said this during a speech at a plenary meeting of the upper house of the Russian parliament on Wednesday, February 12.

Belozerov spoke about the global safety index, which is assessed by the International Union of Railways (UIC).

Oleg Belozerov assured that the experience of Russian Railways in this area is actively studied by international-class experts. It is also used by railway administrations and companies of other states.
