Italian schoolchildren studied works of Russian writer Anton Chekhov

Pupils of the Harmony educational center in Milan got acquainted with the work of Anton Chekhov. Classes for high school students were held by the president of the International Pedagogical Club, geography teacher Alexander Kondryakov and the teacher of Russian language and literature, Pushkin Prize laureate Evgenia Rudova.

The topic of the lessons was “Chekhov. Sakhalin Island. 130 years later”. Schoolchildren and teachers were actively engaged in master classes.

The lessons turned into a lively conversation about the work, life and travels of the author of Chamber No. 6, The Man in the Case, The Seagull, The Cherry Orchard and other masterpieces of world literature.

The students admitted that after class they wanted to get to know the work of the writer.

Russkiy Mir reported that 160th anniversary of Anton Chekhov is celebrated in Russia and worldwide. The festive events began with A ten-day festival called Chekhov Yesterday, Today, Always in Chekhov's hometown, Taganrog.
