Competition for Russian-speaking authors launched in Greece

Historians, writers, archaeologists, scientists and researchers are invited to take part in the Homer International Creative Contest, according to the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots in Greece. The organizers are 9 Muses literary magazine published in Athens, and the St. Petersburg Arche charity fund.

The main task of the competition is to identify talented authors who write in Russian and to draw attention to their work.

The theme of the competition is Mysteries of Ancient Greece. The Mysteries of Dionysus. Orphic Mysteries.  It aims to collect information in the framework of scientific, historical, archaeological, literary and philosophical approaches to the problem of ancient Greek mysteries. The multifaceted project called The Mysteries of Ancient Greece is a unique opportunity to plunge into history, appreciate the ancient idea of humanism, and consider how the ideas of ancient humanism penetrated modern science culture and literature.

Creative competition is held in three categories: best prose, journalistic and poetic work will be chosen by the jury.
