International Fire Festival in St. Petersburg gathered record number of spectators

Almost half a million people watched the performances of the Christmas Star festival, TASS reports. It ended the day before in the historic city center of St.Petersburg.

For two days theaters of light and fire, pyrotechnic teams from Russia and abroad performed at the easternmost tip of Vasilyevsky Island and on the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress.

The city administration holds the festival for the third time. Every year, more and more residents of St. Petersburg and guests of the city gather to admire the multi-colored fireworks and light shows. The festival has already turned into one of the tourist brands of the Northern capital of Russia. 

The main guest of the show was the founder of the French community of firebreathers Andrey Das. Groups from Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, the USA, Andorra showed their pyrotechnic shows. They performed on stage next to the Stock Exchange Building. A modern multimedia Christmas show was played out on the wall of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
