Ministry of Education opens Russian language training centers in four countries

Russian Ministry of Education opened Russian language training centers in Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, TASS reports. The department explained that the centers will host various educational, enlightening and cultural events. They will organize festivals, concerts, competitions, the main purpose of which will be the popularization of national culture, the promotion of the Russian language and Russian education. Everyone will be invited to attend Russian language courses. Advanced training courses and open lessons will be organized for teachers.

Students at the centers must achieve such a level of language proficiency that they can continue their studies at Russian universities. They will also learn more about Russia, get acquainted with its literature, history and traditions, with the possibilities of studying in Russian educational institutions.

Fifteen thousand books in Russian have already been delivered to the Czech Republic, including textbooks, teaching aids, classics, dictionaries. Specialists from Russia will help Czech colleagues develop a methodology for the cultural, educational and informational activities of the center.

Open education centers are already operating in Abkhazia, Greece, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Finland, Syria, Serbia, Mongolia and Cameroon.
