Pupils of Russian schools performed at theater festival in South Korea

The festival and competition of youth theaters called Russian Word was held on December 1 in South Korea. The festival was organized by AppleTree school, according to the website of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots. The cultural forum this year has become the third in a row.

The main objective of the competition is to promote Russian culture, to strengthen the interaction between Russia and South Korea in the humanitarian direction. The festival helps to identify the creative abilities of students.

Participation in theatrical productions also provides children with the opportunity to practice the Russian language once again, helping them to perceive the language more emotionally.

The festival program included performances, concerts and art programs. The contests were dedicated to Mother's Day. Pupils of Russian schools and other educational institutions, students of Russian language faculties of Korean universities took the stage. They were joined by the students of the international school of Vladivostok.
