The Russian-Japanese Youth Forum starts on Wednesday, November 27, in Tokyo. It will be the seventh in a row. About sixty people aged 18 to 30 will join the participants. Among them are students from leading universities in both countries, young specialists and leaders of youth organizations. They will discuss cooperation between Russia and Japan, progress towards sustainable development goals and the development of dialogue between cultures.

The program will bring together discussion and cultural events. A trip to Shinshu University, located in Matsumoto, is planned within the forum. The young people will also visit the city of Takayama.

The participants will hold several discussions on cooperation between Japan and Russia, the desire to achieve sustainable development goals and intercultural dialogue, and visit cultural events.

The Russian-Japanese Youth Forum was held for the first time in 2016. Moscow and Tokyo over the past few years have intensified cooperation in the field of business and humanitarian exchanges. The next year was declared the Year of Russian-Japanese interregional and twin exchanges.
