Shooting of first Russian-Taiwanese series launched in Murmansk region

Film series shooting with the working title Northern Lights of Love is the first joint work of Russia and Taiwan filmmakers. The shooting has started in the Murmansk region. The main characters of the drama directed by director David Lin are a Russian rescuer and a Taiwanese girl whom he saved during the 1999 earthquake, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper reports.

In the story, the girl goes to the north of Russia to her saviour a few years after the tragedy. Young people fall in love with each other. An important plot role will be played by the northern lights, which fulfils the desires of everyone who sees it. According to David Lin, in the script, Russians appear to be kind, noble and helpful people. The series is shot as a universal story that will touch the hearts of representatives of different nations.

They plan to release multi-part series in early 2020. Viewers of China and other Asian countries will be the first to watch it. The leading roles are taken by famous actors of Taiwan and other Asian countries.

Filming will take place next to the main attractions of Murmansk and the Murmansk region, the series will include monuments and central streets of the regional capital. The film crew hopes that during the trip they will be able to capture the northern lights, which annually attract thousands of tourists to the Arctic.
