The US court refused to consider the appeal of the Democratic Party about the so-called Russian interference in the US presidential election, which allegedly took place in 2016.

After reviewing the arguments presented, the court found some of them controversial or not valuable, TASS reports.

This is a repeated claim sent by the Democratic Party, as amended. Earlier, the lawyer Michael Kervin, representing the interests of the election headquarters of Donald Trump, appealed to the court.

The lawsuit was filed in the spring of 2018. In the document, the defendants are Russia, the Main Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation, the Head of Crocus Group Aras Agalarov and his deputy Emin Agalarov. The list also included Wikileaks and Donald Trump, along with his son Donald Trump, Jr. The list included Paul Manafort, who headed the Republican campaign office, his business partner Richard Gates, and Trump's former adviser at his campaign headquarters George Papadopoulos.

The complaint said that members of Trump's headquarters interacted with representatives of Russian Federation and Wikileaks to undermine the Hillary Clinton campaign. She was  Trump’s rival in the election. According to the Democrats, DNC computers were hacked for this purpose, and the stolen information was made public. This supposedly helped Trump win the election.

As Russkiy Mir reported, as a result of the investigation by Special Prosecutor Muller, which concerned Moscow’s possible interference in the elections, no evidence of Donald Trump’s links or his campaign headquarters with Russia was ever found.

Russia has repeatedly stated that the accusations that are heard from overseas are only a consequence of the internal political struggle in the American establishment. All these years, Russia has been requesting at least some evidence that it is “trying to undermine American democracy”, but never received a response.

Moscow has repeatedly come up with a proposal for Washington to jointly discuss cyber security issues. But the United States constantly shy away from this, because they have nothing to prove allegations.
