Russian Center in Thessaloniki popularizes Russian language and culture at All-Greek Book Festival
The Russian Center in Thessaloniki took part in the prestigious All-Greek Book Festival in the Balkans at the invitation of the Northern Greek Book Publishers Association and the Southeastern Publishing Center.
On June 16, the chairman of the festival, Mr Barbunakis, thanked the center for its many years of cooperation and popularization of the Russian language and culture in Thessaloniki and stressed its contribution to the distribution of educational literature. The head of the Russian Center Natalia Suponitskaya made a presentation on the topic The Problem of the Modern Educational Paradigm Using Electronic Resources in Teaching the Russian Language as a Foreign Language in Greece. She also touched upon the topic of Russian-Greek humanitarian relations in the context of the Cross Year of Language and Literature of Russia and Greece, which was supported in the discussion by renowned scholars and book publishers of the country.
The representative of one of the leading publishers of Greece Mr Zitros, co-founder of the scientific philosophical journal Philosophy, expressed a desire to take part in a book exhibition in Moscow next year, which would contribute to the "discovery of new names." Professor of Philosophy Delivoriatzis presented a report on the Greek-Russian scientific ties, in which, in particular, he agreed with the opinion of the president of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center Mikhail Kovalchuk on the process of bringing natural science and humanities closer together.
As part of the book exhibition, the Russian Center also holds a quiz and a creative My Pushkin creative marathon for schoolchildren and students.
