Participants of Russian search teams help representatives of various countries in the search, identification and burial of participants in wars of the past. In Finnish Lappeenranta, the soldiers of the Finnish army of the Second World War were buried. Their remains were discovered in Karelia by Russian searchers. Groups from Russia are also involved in search work in Germany, the website of the Search Movement of Russia informs.

The remains of dozens of Finnish soldiers, found on Karelian Isthmus and Karelian Maselge, were buried in Lappeenranta. Yle reported that the remains of two soldiers were identified and buried in the Finnish settlements where they were born. The burial ceremony of the Finnish soldiers, whose remains were discovered by Russian searchers, was held for the 13th time.

The Russian Military Archeology detachment participated in the search work in Germany. Together with German and Swiss colleagues, Russians carried out search and exhumation work near the town of Klessin. This place is known to historians of the Second World War as the arena of fierce battles that took place here in the last months of the war. The battles took the lives of many Nazis and Soviet soldiers. In the course of the work, the remains of one Soviet soldier and 15 Germans were discovered.

According to the representative of the Search Movement of Russia Anton Torgashev, Russian searchers consider it their duty to search for the remains of Soviet soldiers who died outside Russia.
