Tallinn has become the capital of Total Dictation action on April 7, Sputnik news agency reports. The ceremony took place in the open air at Kanuti garden, which was located near the Center of Russian culture. A monument to the great Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky is also located there.

The motorcade, which left Vladivostok three weeks ago, arrived at the end point of the Total Journey from St. Petersburg. The length of the rally route is more than ten thousand kilometers.

As Russkiy mir reported earlier, the rally symbolically connected the capitals of this and last years “ - Vladivostok and Tallinn.

The members of the staff and the expert council of Total Dictation, bloggers and journalists set off on the road in three cars. They visited almost thirty localities where lectures, seminars and workshops devoted to the Russian language took place.

After the trip, the members of the team will share their impressions and recommendations on the website of Total Dictation.

Tallinn has taken the first place among foreign countries in the number of participants of “Total dictation” for several years in a row. A year ago, their number reached two thousand. The action is very popular in this Baltic republic. Previously, besides the capital, it was also held in Maardu, Valga, Tartu and Narva. Russian actors and singers, such as Dmitry Kharatyan, Leonid Yarmolnik, Viktor Sukhorukovand Dima Bilan, read the Total Dictation in Tallinn.

This year actor Kirill Kyaro, coach of the Russian football team Stanislav Cherchesov and author of the text for Total Dictation, writer Pavel Basinsky, are going to dictate the text.
