Denis Matsuev will perform at Hong Kong Arts Festival

Famous Russian musician Denis Matsuev will become one of the main stars at Hong Kong Arts Festival, one of the main cultural forums in Southeast Asia.

According to the organizers, the pianist will give three concerts in Hong Kong, TASS reports. The program of the first of them, which will be held on March 7, consists of works by Tchaikovsky. Fans of classical music will hear The Seasons, Grand Sonata and Meditation.

Young talents, the winners of the Grand Piano Competition, will perform on the big stage together with Matsuev on the next day. The pianist is the founder of competition. The best contestants will receive grants from Denis Matsuev Foundation. The third concert is entirely devoted to jazz music. All tickets for performances of Russian musician are sold out.

Denis Matsuev performed in Hong Kong last year and had a huge success.

As Russkiy Mir reported, the Theater of Nations came to Hong Kong a year ago. It brought the play based on the stories of Vasily Shukshin. The program of one of the largest cultural events in Asia-Pacific region consists of two parts, the Chinese and the international one. In total, more than 1.5 thousand foreign and Chinese artists will become participants of 46th forum. Program of the festival includes dozens of performances and concerts.
