Russian Permanent Representative to UN: Kiev sabotages Minsk agreements with complicity of West

Head of the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya placed all responsibility for what is happening in Ukraine on Western countries. He also called Washington the main "puppeteer of Maidan Theater," the UN website .informs 

Diplomat said that at the meeting of the UN Security Council. 

It should be recalled that it was convened at the initiative of Moscow and coincided with the anniversary of adoption of the 2nd Minsk Agreement. Set of measures to complete agreements was established 4 years ago at the meeting held in Belarusian capital. 

Russian permanent representative expressed confidence that the West is completely uninterested in fate of Ukraine and well-being of its citizens. The country is only a pawn in the geopolitical confrontation with Russia for it. 

Vasily Nebenzya also said that Ukrainian authorities do not comply with the Minsk agreements, while blaming Moscow, despite the fact that Russia is not mentioned in the document. 

The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Miroslav Jenca emphasized during his speech that Donbass conflict continues, people die, and the parties do not adhere to the agreements reached. He urged the parties to withdraw heavy weapons as quickly as possible, withdraw troops and ensure the protection of civilian infrastructure. 

Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan stated that the mission’s reports do not contain information that would indicate the presence of Russian military on Ukrainian territory.

More than 3000 civilians were killed in the fighting, almost 10 000 were injured. 1.5 million people are registered as internally displaced persons.
