Model UN in Russia gathered record number of participants

About 300 young people from all around the world participated in Moscow International Model United Nations (MIMUN), TASS reported. It is organized Diplomatic Academy of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to organizers the forum engaged record number of participants. It's geography includes CIS countries, Middle East region, Europe, Africa. 

According to the representative of the Foreign Ministry Petr Ilichev, young people are interested in International Politics agenda. They discuss actual international relations and political perspectives.

Diplomat reminded that instruments of international relations adapt in a rapidly changing world. Discussions in Russian, French, English and Spanish are are planned in seven committees.

Main topics are migration, human rights,  protection of privacy in a digital age and economic situation in Latin Amerca and the Caribbean. Special attention is paid to gender equality, responding to violence against women and HIV-positive women assistance.

MIMUN will conclude on February, 16.
