Russian Language Week starts in Hanoi

Russian Language Week started in the capital of Vietnam, TASS informs. The festive programme includes scientific conferences, tutorial seminars and activities dedicated to the Day of Russian Language, which coincides with Alexander S. Pushkin’s birth anniversary, celebrated on June 6th.

Teachers of the Russian language as a foreign language coming from Russia will make presentations for local Russian studies’ specialists, such as teachers of the Russian language, translators and philologists. Presenters came from leading universities of different regions of our country including Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Saint Petersburg. Representatives of Herzen State Pedagogical University and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia were present too.

Seminars, discussions, master-classes are going to be arranged during the Russian Week. These events are to raise professionalism of Vietnamese specialists in the field of the Russian studies. Moreover, guests and participants will be able to attend public lessons in local schools.

Pushkin Evening concert devoted to the celebration and Illustrated Pushkin photo exhibition will be held as a part of the festive programme. A gala awarding ceremony of the winners of the Pushkin Fairytales competition is planned this Week too.
