pixabay.com Massive baking action kicks off in Russia due to the coming Passover day. Easter Russian Bread Kulitch will be present at almost every house, and not alone. Regularly at least 2-3 (if not more) Easter breads are being consumed by every Russian family.

More than 2.5 million Easter Breads will be cooked just in Moscow bakeries, and about 20 recipes will be used.

According to data from the Russian Trade and Sanitary Inspection Authority, it is recommended to cook or buy Easter products made out of natural ingredients. Products like butter, eggs, raisins, sugar powder should be of the highest quality. It is also recommended to color eggs with onion skins, following old traditional recipe, or natural colorants. Also everybody should be very attentive with Cheese Paskha made out of sweet cottage cheese.

This year Orthodox Christians will celebrate the Easter on April, 16th. On preceding Saturday from the early morning until 8pm Christians can bring Easter Breads in churches for sanctification.
