US Congressmen Intend to Withstand «Russian Propaganda»

The US Congress offered to reopen the Center for Global Cooperation and direct its activities against “Russian Propaganda”, RIA Novosti reported. 

The Center is an affiliate of the US State Department; it was founded by the former US government of Barack Obama in order to withstand the propaganda of the Islamic State military groups, banned in Russia. 

The Center is planned to begin working within this year already as per the information published in mass media. The budget funding of the Center is 160 million dollars. Besides, 100 million dollars is to be added to this budget. The finances will be directed to support «unbiased Russian news coverage». 

Among the Center’s tasks, to monitor propaganda campaigns undertaken by other countries, to analyze and stand against them. Foreign journalists, state organizations and private companies will be provided grants for these activities.
