Residents of Austria know and appreciate Russian culture, says Russian Ambassador Dmitry Lyubinsky. He is sure that this attitude has been preserved in the country even despite the anti-Russian course pursued by the Austrian media, RIA Novosti reports.

Dmitry Lyubinsky added that many remember very well that relations between Russia and Austria developed differently in different historical periods. Therefore, they are in no hurry to draw any conclusions under the influence of today's political situation.

The embassy receives messages where residents of Austria express their dissatisfaction with the one-sided presentation of almost all news concerning Russia, the head of the diplomatic mission added. They realize that the international situation is much more complex than the picture painted by Western media, the ambassador stressed.
