Slovakia residents preserve the historical memory of World War II, assured the deputy speaker of the country's parliament Luboš Blaha. He expressed confidence that no one will ever make them hate Russia, RIA Novosti reported.

He was speaking at a conference on left-wing views held in the Czech Republic this past weekend. He said his statement that Bratislava would not supply weapons to the Kiev regime drew applause.

As Russian World previously reported, Slovakia has refused to supply arms to the Kiev regime.

The recently formed Cabinet of Ministers rejected the proposal from their predecessors, who had suggested offering additional aid to Ukraine. Bratislava had intended to earmark over 40 mln. euros for military purposes, primarily focusing on the acquisition of ammunition.

Prime Minister of Slovakia  Robert Fico  noted that Bratislava would continue to provide humanitarian and civilian aid to Ukraine. He also emphasized that it was time for Europe, which is now one of the main suppliers of weapons to the Kiev regime, to start being a peacemaker.
