Ivan Bessonov wins Young Musicians Eurovision

16 years old pianist Ivan Bessonov has won the 19th Eurovision Young Musicians in often called “Classic Eurovision,” RIA Novosti reports. In the finals Ivan had to compete with 5 other pianists. 

Сlassical musicians aged between 12 and 21 from more than 20 European countries were competing in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital. Ivan Bessonov's performance won ovations and rave reviews from local music critics. He was called outstanding, wonderful musician who posses temperament and strong character. 

Russian musician received a custom-made engraved trophy, 7,000 Euro and chance to perform with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra coming season.

Let us remember, Ivan Bessonov has already won several Russian and International contests, played with recognized musicians, such as Valery Gergiev and Vladimir Spivakov. He studies piano for 10 years. Ivan is also interested in composition. Three years ago Ivan wrote a soundtrack for the Varicella documentary by Viktor Kosakovsky.
