Russian-European Joint Space Mission for investigation of the Red Planet is to be launched on July 25, 2020, according to RIA Novosti.

ExoMars-2020 project supposes the launch operations of Russian space landing platform and European Mars Rover.

ExpoMars-2020 is the second stage of the Russian-European project ExpoMars. The first stage was held in 2016 when Trace Gas Orbiter module was sent to Mars accompanied by the two scientific devices produced in Russia. Unfortunately, the space station Schiaparelli crashed in October 2016 while landing.

Russia is expected to be more actively involved in 2020. Installation of the space landing station is conducted at Lavochkin Industrial and Scientific Association. Besides, the station will be equipped with 11 Russian and 2 European devices.  The European Mars Rover will contain two devices produced in Russia.
