Several Russian cultural and historical artefacts were sold at the Cazo auction in Paris, RIA Novosti informs.

One of the important auction's bids was the letter written by an investigator of high-profile cases Nikolai Sokolov . Upon an order of of Admiral Kolchak, he was searching the circumstances of the emperor Nickolas II family's death. The bidder payed for the unique document circa 2,000 Euro.

The auction organisers noted that the letter called very big success with bidders, hence the interest for the corresponding historical period remains pretty high. Such documents are very rare, and it is possible that in the broader audience might get acquainted with it in near future.

In his letter Sokolov asks to allocate £200 to interrogate many persons abroad, and conduct expertise. The letter was sent from Paris and dated June 23, 1920.

Collection of 48 issues of The Milestone magazine published in Harbin in 1937 was among other lots. It was sold for €3,000 Euro, the price that exceeded by few times the initial one.
