14.03.2018

More than 25 000 Serbians watched the Russian movie Ice for 4 days since its release, according to TASS. The movie is more popular that The Shape of Water nominated for Oscar or another action movie about adventures of Lara Croft.

According to distributors, the movie by Oleg Trofim is the most emotional movie of the year. The spectators agree with this point of view. Besides, many people who watched the movie once, are going to come again with their children. People noted that the drama about sports and love is what teenagers should watch.

The fame of the movie can be partially explained by the fact that one of the main parts is played by the Serbian actor Milos Bikovic. He is sure that the Russian cinema is an equal rival to Hollywood, despite a great difference in budgets.

The main character of the movie is figure skater called Nadya. The plot is around her complicated way up the sports career ladder. Her career stopped after a bad injury she got by the fault of her partner. She can’t walk any longer and returns home where she meets a hockey player Sasha, who helps the ex-champion to believe in herself and hit the ice again.

In Russia The Ice has become a smash hit right at the first day of its release. The movie already gained around 3,5 million dollars. The total earnings exceed 17, 5 million US dollars.

The new Russian drama is to be released in China this month. Moreover, the distribution rights were purchased by the Baltic and the Balkan States as well as Latin American countries. The drama is screened in Switzerland too.
