Eurasian Bridge Film festival opens in Yalta

pixabay.comThe Yalta International Film Festival Eurasian Bridge starts today, September 15, TASS reports. 20 Russian films will compete for the award in the main category, and 6 features are included in Debut nomination. The Best Director's nomination awaits its winner as well. Special prize and Grand Prix included in the list of awards as well.

British director Garrett Jones will head the jury which comprises Russian actress Olesya Sudzilovskaya, French director Patrick Kazal, and others.

There are Russian movies White Nights, Light Up, Turkish Saddle, Kazakh film The Little Prince of Our Town, French The Death of Louis XIV, Chinese What's in the Darkness, as well as collaborative projects Son of Sofia (Greece/Bulgaria/France) and Street of the Last Hope (Italy/Switzerland/France) are among feature films.

Eight films participate in documentary film contest. Separate program devoted to Russian premieres and World cinema panorama is also planned. Apart of that Russian Revolution film retrospective is going to be screened.
