Hundreds of reenactors repeated Battle of Borodino

borodino.ruBorodino Day-2017 International historical festival was held on September 3, according to website of Museum-Reserve Borodino Field. Hundreds of admirers of history and reenactors from Russia and other foreign countries took part in this event.

Admirers of war history and those who interested in events of the beginning of XIX century had a chance to watch reenactment of particular episodes of the famous battle. Festival visitors witnessed positions of both armies and watched rehearsal of the Borodino battle on September 2.

A vast festival agenda started with a gala ceremony near the Napoleon command post located next to the Shevardino village and lasted all day long. The festival culminated with military historical reenactment of the Borodino battle at two o’clock. Hundreds of reenactors from Russian and French sides participated in the battle. Cannons and gun rumbled thrilling minds of guests.
