Koktebel Jazz Party started in Crimea

Koktebel Jazz Party official websiteCrimea hosts another jazz festival Koktebel Jazz Party, Ria Novosti informs. The festival opens on August 18 in the artistic village Koktebel which gave a name to the musical forum. It is 15th forum already and the agenda promises to be very busy. According to organizers, there will be two stages. One of them is named after Maximilian Voloshin, a celebrated poet of the Silver age who lived in Koktebel for a long time. It will be opened in his house museum. The second stage is located at the Black sea coast.

Local population, tourists and jazz fans will enjoy concerts of the most famous musicians from different countries. Their performances will be traditionally mixed with extensive art historic programme.

According to organizers, David Golostchcekin, Yakov Okun troupe, Russian born musician from USA Valery Ponomarev are invited. Moreover, musicians from France, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil and Korea came to participate in the festival too.

Young musicians will have a unique chance to perform together with the most famous musicians from Russia and abroad. Their concert will be arranged in Artek as well. Festival participants will see a video conference of the concert.

The festival decorations are in style of constructivism this year. Its logo is a line from the song of the composer Alexander Tsfasman “Same Jazz on same place”

It is noteworthy; all money earned at the festival will be directed to charity.
