Russian journalist Alena Palazhchenko, who has lived in Turkey for ten years and works as a reporter for a number of Russian federal media outlets, is creating a museum of Russian music in Ankara, which is scheduled to open in 2024. According to her, the people of Turkey are very fond of classical and folk Russian music, the BelPress website reports.

According to the journalist, the idea was born from the desire to popularize Russian culture and the Russian language. While living in Turkey, she noticed how successful and interesting the tours of Russian music bands were for locals. In addition, Alena noted, the Turks know and sing many Russian songs very well.

The Museum of Russian Music in Ankara is being created with the participation of the famous expert on Russian rock, author of books and encyclopedias Vladimir Marochkin, as well as Turkish philanthropist, longtime friend of Russia Erol Ugurlu, who provided the building for the museum. In addition, musicians, teachers and artists from Turkey are ready to join the project.

In September, Alena Palazhchenko came to Russia to collect exhibits of the future museum, held negotiations with leading music museums and educational institutions in Moscow, as well as with famous performers who donated a number of items to the museum.
