Specialists busy in touristic industry and zoos started to work out ecological tourist itineraries, TASS informs. They are to join Russian zoos and aquariums.

Moscow Zoo General Director Svetlana Akulova has advised that the initiative coincides with the Year of Ecology in Russia. She has made this statement during the conference of Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums attended by representatives of twenty-five zoos from different parts of the world. This forum is devoted to 70th anniversary of Novosibirsk Zoo.

According to Akulova, tourists will be able to attend various zoos. Animal farms previously closed for attendance by tourist groups will open doors for them. Visitors will get a rare opportunity to observe scientists researching population of wild animals. Moreover, guests will witness reintroduction, which is settling wild animals at the territory where they lived earlier but later disappeared. The reintroduction is aimed at creation of a new and stable population.

Svetlana Akulova has advised that several tours are currently ready and being tested. Those travelers who tried them left positive feedback.
