Russian young inventors win five medals in Japan

Russian School kids have received five medals at the 13th International Exhibition for Young Inventors, that takes place in Nagoya, Japan Ria Novosti informs. 11 Russian schoolchildren were supported by Technopol-Moscow science and technology association.

10th grader Maksim Bushuev from Sarov has won the silver award for the computer vision help road signs algorithm recognizer.

Four other participants have received bronze prizes. Among them are special fixator for arms and legs with open and closed fractures by Perm inhabitant, 15 year-old Irina Maslennikova; the sound compass by 11th grader Maria Yaushkina from Sarov; and two inventions by Dmitry Zateikin and Stepan Lapshinov from Moscow. Boys have presented devices that would support hazardous works on the Earth and other planets. All medalists have confirmed the will to participate in the next exhibition as well.
