Young Russian inventors will compete for victory in the Young Inventors Award International (IYIA) competition, Izvestia reports. Competitions in Denpasar, Indonesia, will take place in a month, on September, 16. Among the participants will be representatives of many countries.

At the qualifying stage in Russia, the organizers considered about 100 projects. They were presented by residents of Moscow, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladikavkaz, Nalchik, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk and many other cities. A team of ten people will go to the competition in Indonesia. Among their projects are dishes made from fallen leaves, an escape pod, a robotic snake.

According to the organizers, next year the competition will be ten years old. It is an international platform that allows young researchers to demonstrate their own developments, share experience and exchange impressions with their peers from abroad. Competitions allow children to understand what it means to be a technology entrepreneur.

Last year IYIA had more than 1,000 participants from more than 30 countries. The jury considered about 350 projects. And Russian inventors have great authority on this platform. Each of the seven Russian participants in 2022 received a gold or silver award.
