First in Space Educational DVD Set

The publishing house Russian Language Courses and the Russkiy Mir Foundation has issued an educational DVD set titled First in Space, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight. The educational set is appropriate for all Russian language learners and also provides an opportunity to teach history alongside the language.

Why did Yuri Gagarin become the first cosmonaut? What kind of person was this famous pioneer in space exploration? How did he handle the unprecedented fame that he acquired? These are just a few of the interesting facts from the life of the person on planet earth into outer space that you can learn from this multimedia learning kit. The DVD will be delivered to Russkiy Mir Cabinets and Russian Centers as a part of the First in Space Campaign of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
