Russian authorities to support Bolshoi Theater's tour to Thailand

The Bolshoi Theater will go on tour to Thailand in the coming year. The team will be supported by the Russian ministries of culture and finance on behalf of the head of state, the official website of the President of Russia reports.

The corresponding order is contained in the list of instructions following the plenary meeting of the 9th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum, held on November 17, 2023. Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Finance to assist the Bolshoi Theater in organizing the trip.

The Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters will celebrate the 180th anniversary of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in the coming year.
